I often have people asking me if they can use my artwork for certain purposes. However, my opinions on certain usages differ. If you want to use my art for something, but are unsure as to whether or not I will condone it or not; I made this page for you. + Personal Use You are welcome to save any of my unedited images to your own personal harddrive for viewing and to use them as a desktop wallpaper. Even without asking ;) + Reposting Reposting my artwork is only okay as long as... My image is not altered. My copyright remains. You do not claim it as yours. You do not link the image URL directly from my website (save it to your own image gallery.) For instance, reposting my artwork on myspace, forums, etc as long as you don't do what I highlighted. I would also prefer if you included a link back to my website. + Referencing For hundreds of years, to become better artists many copied the artwork of others. I like to honor this and let people do it. However, you must honor me in return by... Giving me proper credit by stating something along the lines of, "Original image © IJ Nakano" or "refferenced/copied an image by IJ Nakano." + Reselling You may NOT resell any of my images or merchandise in any way, shape or form whatsoever. The only way I would let anyone do this, if you are your own business, you may e-mail me and we might make a deal, depending on what it is you wish to sell. I will not, under any circumstances, let someone else besides me, DeviantART, and Cafepress sell prints. + Avatars, signatures, etc. This is fine with me, as long as somewhere on the image you have "© IJ Nakano" or "© www.silverbobcat.com." However, if you want to use one of my images that was intended for someone else, then you must ask that person themselves. If you are not sure, you may e-mail me and I'll tell you. + Using my character for roleplay I don't mind if you roleplay as my characters, as long as... You remember that my characters are NOT YOURS, and don't claim that they are. + Projects If you wish to use my artwork for a personal project, such as a craft, a report, or tattoo; you may. Also credit me somewhere on the project (aside from tattoos obviously) and do not mass produce this project for profit. Also, please send me a picture of the project, as it makes me very gleeful and I would love to post it on my site! :)
